If You Loved Ian Fleming you Are Going To Enjoy Johnny Fedora

There is no way you can read this novel and not mentally compare it to Ian Fleming's - James Bond but Johnny seems a bit more cerebral and not quite the dashing woman magnet that Bond was. This story is well written and the dry humor inserted expertly into the story at odd times adds to the readers enjoyment. His game of evading the people trying to tail him at various times becomes an interesting game and for me his traveling companion was a nice touch.
There is not a lot to add once you have made the Jame Bond comparison other than the fact that this is a finely crafted novel and a genuinely ironic type ending that I found very entertaining. Grab this and sit back and enjoy. Be aware that the setting for this story is in the 50s/60s era.

Entertaining Book!

I have to say that I really enjoyed Dead Man Falling, it is a very entertaining and exciting. It is full of action, adventure, suspense, and a lot of humor throughout. It is one of those books you have a difficult time putting down once you start it.
The story is set in post war Austria, and our hero, Johnny must find missing diamonds before the Nazi's do. As we ride along with Johnny on his quest, there are so many twists and turns that just when you think you have it figured out, something happens to change your perspective completely.
It is very well written, the characters and the plot very well developed. The author has done a stellar job of giving us a perfect balance of intrigue and adventure.
I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend!!

Vivid Scene Description and Many Exciting and Unexpected Twists to the Story

Dead Man Falling by Desmond Cory was an exciting thriller that immediately brought images of James Bond to mind. You just can't help but picture that Bond type character when reading this story. And - with all the exciting, unexpected twists and turns happening in this book, it was easy to get hooked. It starts off slow and gains excitement with enormous speed.
Desmond Cory did a wonderful job setting the scene in each chapter. With the vivid descriptive nature in which this book was written, it was very easy to picture every moment of every scene as you read along.
The main character, Johnny Fedora is a very strong character that you can't help but identify with; and he is accompanied by his honeymoon companion Marie-Andree, who is also quite the character. As a woman I was happy to see this particular character rise to certain challenges and take charge when necessary. I'm really not a fan of books where the character of a woman is depicted as the victim in every scene; so this was quite refreshing. I also loved the wit and humor that both these characters added to the story. It really gave it a nice twist.
All in all - a great read for those who love spy novels!
